141 McCaul Street
Redemptorists

RTM completed a comprehensive, multi-year interior renovation and restoration of the Redemptorists building located at 141 McCaul Street in Toronto. This complex project modernized the historic facility while seamlessly integrating a new structural addition to meet current Ontario building codes.

Project Scope

RTM functioned as the prime construction manager for a complete interior renovation and heritage restoration of the Redemptorists building. The scope demanded rigorous scheduling and coordination across multiple trades to execute comprehensive upgrades throughout the entire facility.

The interior work involved extensive finishing, advanced mechanical system installations, comprehensive electrical overhauls, and the integration of modern security networks.

Notable Details

A defining challenge of this assignment was modernizing the historic building to meet strict contemporary safety standards without compromising its architectural integrity.

To achieve this, RTM managed the construction of a brand-new structural addition specifically designed to house emergency stair exits. This addition was carefully integrated into the existing structure to ensure full compliance with the updated Ontario Building Code. In addition to the interior and structural work, the project also included extensive exterior landscaping to renew the property's perimeter.

Final Result

By expertly managing multiple specialized trades and executing precise structural modifications over this multi-year timeline, RTM successfully revitalized the 141 McCaul Street property.

The completed restoration delivered a fully code-compliant, secure, and modernized interior environment, carefully preparing the historic Redemptorists building to safely serve its community for decades to come.
